Dao Clinic - applying a needle on a specific point

Chinese medicine is a complex medical system that has been developed and refined over thousands of years. It is based on the idea that the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected and that health and well-being depend on maintaining a balance between these elements.

One of the key concepts in Chinese medicine is the idea of Qi (pronounced "chee"), which is often translated as "life force" or "vital energy." According to Chinese medical theory, Qi flows through the body along channels called meridians, and when this flow is disrupted or blocked, it can lead to physical or emotional problems.

To restore the balance of Qi and promote health, Chinese medicine uses a variety of techniques and practices, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, Gua sha, dietary therapy, Chinese herbs, lifestyle changes and breathing practices.

Each of these practices has unique therapeutic benefits and works in harmony with the other modalities.
